While at the first temple we visited in Tamil Nadu, both Dustin and I were blessed by the temple elephant - for just one rupee! You place the rupee in the elephant's trunk, and then he blesses you on the head.

At the second temple, I decided to give the elephant a banana instead of a rupee. I figured she'd enjoy the food more than money. Boy was she excited! She was following me with her eyes and raising her trunk at me the rest of the morning.
She even posed for this sweet solo portrait for me. :)
