Indi's family owns and runs a vineyard, Montefalco, near Porongurup National Park in SW Australia. We spent a weekend down there and even helped out a bit at the winery.
Their wine is all organic, preservative/sulphite free and AMAZING! We definitely got spoiled drinking their wine every night, yum! Mmmm, Sangiovese...
During our visit to Perth, we stayed with our dear friend Indi in Cottesloe, a suburb of Perth, right on the beach.
We went into the "big city" of Perth (very mellow!) for an afternoon, but also spent a lot of time just chilling out at home. It was nice to be in a house after months on the road in hostels and hotels.
Spent an afternoon at Uluwatu, in Southern Bali, watching the surfers catch some amazing waves. The waves are huge, the cliffs are beautiful and the water is crystal clear. Not a bad place to hang ten...
We stayed on land and pretended to catch some concrete waves. Ever the ballerina, check out that turnout. No wonder I suck at surfing!
We headed up to Lovina on the North coast. Not many tourists get up here, so it was nice to chill out in a beautiful area without the crowds . Our hotel had a private roof-deck that we enjoyed to the max. It was a somewhat rural area, complete with cocks on the beach and lonely fisherman. Some of the best sunsets of our trip, wow~!
The Hindu culture of Bali gave us a bit of deja vu of India, with temples everywhere! Here are a few shots of some classics, including Tanah Lot and Ulun Danu.
