Rules like these kept us out of the Grand Palace due to poor attire planning.
Didn't actually go in, but we got this great shot of Wat Arun ("Temple of Dawn") from our water taxi.

We went off on a river canal tour which included a beer purchase from this lovely lady, and, of course, lots of rain.

It rained so hard we had to sit under a bridge to wait it out... which put us a little behind schedule to catch a taxi to the train station. The rain of course delayed traffic so the 4km taxi ride to the train station took almost 2 hours!!! We had hoped to arrive to the train station an hour before departure --- instead we arrived just 5 minutes before! Hopped on, ordered a beer to celebrate just making the train and settled in for the overnight ride to Chumpon, ferry departure point for Koh Tao.
